Birmingham City University has launched a ‘mental health and well-being’ campaign, giving free sessions to students.

Students can come with issues such as dealing with stress, anxiety or depression.

Pupils can either book sessions online or drop-in, the sessions are available at Parkside foyer, every Thursday from 12- 2pm.

There is always a banner so students can spot the advisors and drop in whenever they like.

Ceri Osborne, Student Success Advisor and team leader for the ADM team said: “ We know that students are under a lot of stress due to their assignments being due.

“We are offering free sessions where they can talk about anything.

“Our role is to support students from when they enter university until they leave.”

Birmingham City University is working with ‘The Waiting Room' to deal with problems students may have such as drug and alcohol, domestic abuse, LGBT.

Alongside this, in late October BCU also joined a campaign called ‘ Time to Talk’.

Every month they talk about a topic such as black history month, money and finances, LGBT, disability and more.

To book a session contact: ADMSSA.team@bcu.ac.uk.
